I put off writing this because this solidifies the end of a season. And I wasn’t quite sure I was ready for this season to come to a close. The humans that the Lord put in my life, and the way I encountered him were genuinely life changing. How do I put those things into words that do them justice?

The answer is I don’t. No one will ever fully understand the moments, the people, the stories, and the depth that they impacted me. But articulating that is enough. The last six months were incredible. Indescribable.

I am so so grateful for the community I had the privilege to live in. Thank you Gap 23, and thank you Jesus for giving me a season with them!

I was so blessed by the locals every where I went. Often times humbled by the way they loved and served my team and me. Again, praise God.

I will remember the growth and the lessons the Lord walked me through with joy. Tremendous breakthrough, and quiet simple learning. Praise the King of Kings!

In Joshua,  the Lord has the Israelites stack stones in remembrance of their deliverance from the hand of the Egyptians. He had just parted the sea and he wanted the Israelites to remember his faithfulness.

See, our God knows how fickle and forgetful we are, so he puts things like “stacking stones” in place, so we might remember. This could look like a gratitude journal, or journaling about answered prayers, or moments where the Lord showed up in big or small ways. Genuinely anything you can look back at and remind yourself that we serve a God who is faithful through the ages.

And while I recommend incorporating this into your life, if it isn’t already there, I tell you this to say: this trip is a stone for me.

I can look back on this season and be reminded that my God is faithful. That he shows up in big ways that are unimaginable to most of us; He brings healing, deliverance from addiction, and salvation for children of witch doctors!

He also is in the small; he is using your common house work, your acts of service that go unnoticed, and the act of seeking to understand someone different than you.

When our eyes our fixed on Jesus and we are tuned into his spirit, there is no limit to how he will use us. That is what this last six months has taught me.

So I’m stacking my stone! I’m incorporating this principle of remembrance in my life so that I may hold fast to who the Lord is and what he has done in my life.

Thank you Jesus for this last season! And thank you to everyone who made this a possibility, words cannot express my gratitude to you.

I’m back in the states and starting a new season of missions. Quietly serving my family and those around me. Being a light on my college campus and hopefully discipling young women! Listening to the Lord and being obedient to where he leads in all that I do. My hope is to bring the mindset of ministry with me wherever I go.

Because when I stop and remember the character of my God, and all that he has done for me, it’s the only way to live my life.
